How far in advance should I place my order for wedding or large event custom product suites?
We take on a select number of projects each season, and our calendar typically fills 4–6 months out — sometimes more. The earlier you reach out, the more room we have to do this right, so don't wait.
Once you're booked, twelve weeks out is the production sweet spot for most items — enough time to design, revise, and produce without rushing anything. If any part of your suite is sourced internationally, eight weeks is the floor, not the goal.
We do hold a few slots for last-minute projects. If that's you, reach out — but the sooner, the better. Those slots are limited and go fast.Is there a minimum project investment?
Yes. Invitation suites start at $3,000, and day-of projects start at $1,500. Every project is priced around scope, sourcing, and complexity — we'll always walk you through where your number comes from.
Do you work with wedding planners?
Always. How we work together is up to you. Some clients want us talking directly with their planner while they step back entirely. Others are hands-on with every decision. Plenty land somewhere in between — a true 50/50. However you and your planner want this to run, we'll fit into it.
Do you only work on weddings, or other events too?
Weddings are our heartbeat, but not our whole world. We also design and source for university and corporate events — anywhere the details matter and the standard is high.
What's the payment structure?
A retainer secures your project and covers our design and sourcing time. Once your designs are approved, the remaining balance for your products is due in full. And just like everything else — nothing goes into production until that final payment clears.
When does production begin on my order?
Production doesn't start until your invoice is paid in full. Once that final payment clears, your project moves into production — nothing gets submitted to our manufacturers or vendors before then.
Are items made overseas?
Yes. A lot of what we source and produce comes through trusted manufacturing partners overseas, because there is often a level of customization and craftsmanship that can't be found domestically. Eight weeks is the absolute drop-dead minimum for combined production and transit on internationally produced items — we'd rather you give us more room than that (and this doesn't even include design). The tighter that window gets, the less margin we have if something unexpected happens along the way.
Most international shipments land with us first. We check quantities, inspect quality, and repackage everything before it ever reaches you — one more layer of "we caught it before you had to."
Fête Society isn't responsible for delays from international shipping, customs, or domestic carriers once a shipment has left our hands or our manufacturing partner's.
The shipping rate at checkout applies once your order ships from Fête Society, unless we've told you otherwise.
If something ships direct from an international vendor, that's called out clearly at checkout as "International Shipping," with its own rate. Can I see samples or materials before committing?
Sometimes — and when we can, we're happy to send them, though there may be a fee. Specialty paper stocks for invitations and stationery are a different story: those items are all about how they feel in your hands, so if you want to see and touch them in person, we're glad to share those. Worth knowing: a sample of something custom-made specifically for your event usually means running real production to create it, at real production cost. Ask us first whether a sample actually makes sense for what you're trying to decide — often, it won't be worth it.
What happens if my order doesn't arrive on time?
We build in the time to hit our production and delivery estimates, and we take those dates seriously. But nothing is 100% guaranteed — customs, carriers, and manufacturing can throw curveballs no one saw coming, and that's true of any vendor who's honest with you. What we can promise is this: if something happens, we will do everything in our power to find a solution or a replacement before your event. Ordering early gives us the most room to fight for you if it comes to that.
Can I make changes to my order after it's placed?
Once production starts, changes may not be possible. Need something adjusted? Reach out the moment you place your order, before it moves into the queue.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Tell us within 3 business days of delivery if something arrives damaged or wrong because of us. We'll make it right with a replacement or store credit — no runaround.
Can I see a proof of my design before production?
Always. Every custom product gets two complimentary rounds of revisions, and we always get your approval on a final proof before we send it into production. Your name's on it — you should love it first.
